How to finance your education whilst studying

Sharing

Do you have a vocation and need to study so you can have the job of your dreams? The road can often seem long and expensive!

Finance your studies with a student job

It isn't unusual for students to take a part-time job alongside their studies. By juggling their two schedules they are able to finance their university registration fees and monthly fees for specialist universities. Whether you want to look after children when they come out of school, work as a salesperson in a shop, or help with picking in the fields, any area of activity can work. Sometimes they can even help you to learn something for your future career! But be vigilant and don't lose sight of your main aim. Your student job shouldn't drain you of energy as it should help you succeed in your studies. See what student job offers there are in your town.

Request a grant

It may be possible to request a grant from a public body (national, regional or local), it will depend on your parents means, your age and the type of university you are attending. Find out more at your CROUS.

Request a bank loan to finance your studies

If you can't get a grant from a public body, you could borrow some money from your bank. It is quite common that universities have arrangements with the bank and they fix the rates at a very low and therefore interesting price. Depending on the clause of the contract, you can start paying once you receive your degree or later, when you find your fist job.
