1. The Christmas Market: the essential event for the festive season

Heralding the arrival of the end-of-year festivities, the Strasbourg Christmas market is becoming increasingly well-known throughout Europe. Over 300 chalets create a magical Christmas atmosphere, encouraging you to discover traditional foods, gifts and artisan creations...if you live in Strasbourg, and you're just getting to know the town this really is a must-do!

 

2. Strasbourg and its music festivals

Strasbourg hosts many music festivals throughout the year. We couldn't just pick one, so here's a list to suit all tastes:

 

The Artefacts festival currently the region's largest festival, it attracts between 25,000 and 30,000 people a year. It takes place both at the Strasbourg Zenith and la Laiterie.

  • Les nuits électroniques de l’Ososphère: electronic music, exhibitions, artistic journeys, projections, workshops...you'll find it all at this famous cultural show that takes over a whole quarter of Strasbourg for two days.
  • The Jazzdor festival: every year in November, Jazzdor offers a series of concerts, mainly focussing on current french jazz music.

 

3.The Campus Alternatif: a festive event to start the year off right!

Want to draw out the summer with music and attend Strasbourg's biggest student event? The Campus Alternatif gets everyone moving (not just students) with concerts mixing all musical genres. On the programme: music, games, competitions, drinks, food trucks...A great evening for heading back to campus!
