The incredible Ile de Nantes — a great location.

For students living in Nantes, the Ile de Nantes area is highly recommended! If you're looking to combine comfort, a lively area and a great quality of life, it's exactly what you need. Located between the two channels of the Loire river, Ile de Nantes is a stone's throw from the city centre, but has its own dynamic atmosphere with a ton of cultural sites and places to party.

Living in Nantes' eco-town, you also get great transport links to take you all around town: bus, tram, river shuttles, bicycle rental...the area has a ton of bicycle paths and pedestrian paths along the Loire: getting around is pretty nice!

If you've fallen for the charms of this area, we've got a great place for you to live! The Nantes Montécristo student residence, in the new La Création district is a stone's throw from Machines de l’île and just a few minutes from the city centre on foot.

Where to go out in Ile de Nantes?

There's plenty to do in your free time. You could go to Hangar à Bananes and have a drink at Ferrailleur, throw some shapes to the latest sounds on the dancefloors at Warehouse, or simple chill with your mates at La Cantine du Voyage à Nantes in the summer. Unsurprisingly this is a favourite area for students!
